Air Chief Marshal Trevor Mallony holds a position in Britannian RAF high command, overseeing the 501st Joint Fighter Wing and various other operations. He took over from Hugo Dowding as Air Chief Marshal, though the two were fierce political rivals. Mallony made no secret of his disdain for the Joint Fighter Wings—institutions Dowding had created—and was openly hostile to the idea of using Witches for Dover's defense.
Beyond his official role, Mallony commands the 1st Assault Unit "Warlock," a secretive military division built around an experimental weapon of the same name. The real draw for him, though, was the classified R&D work attached to the project. To keep it funded, he quietly diverted budget money meant for the 501st JFW into his own initiative. When Wing Commander Wilcke exposed this financial misconduct, Mallony was forced out entirely. His whereabouts afterward remain unclear.
He serves as the primary antagonist in the final episodes of season one, orchestrating the temporary shutdown of the 501st and ultimately triggering the Warlock disaster.
The character is loosely based on Air Chief Marshal Trafford Leigh-Mallory, Dowding's real-life rival during the Battle of Britain.
