Popura is a 17-year-old high school student working at Wagnaria. Her parents named her after the poplar tree in hopes she'd grow tall—which didn't exactly work out. She's a solid worker despite being prone to clumsy mistakes on the job. Her height is a sore subject; customers constantly mistake her for someone way younger, which obviously gets to her. Souta, who's actually a year younger, doesn't help matters—he refuses to take her seriously and treats her like an elementary schooler. On top of that, she can't seem to get his name right; she keeps saying "Katanashi" instead of "Takanashi," no matter how many times he corrects her.
