Matsuri is a second-year middle schooler and Yuzu's childhood friend who lived nearby before Yuzu moved in with the Aiharas. She first shows up in chapter 9 as a pretty girl who's rarely seen without headphones around her neck.
Right away, it's clear she's got a manipulative streak—she comes across as fake and sly even when hanging with friends she claims to care about. When she bumps into Yuzu and Harumin at an arcade, she invites them to karaoke, though Harumin picks up on something off about her immediately. Matsuri has a pretty sharp read on people; she quickly figures out Yuzu's feelings for Mei and uses that information to her advantage, making a move on Yuzu and kissing her right in front of Mei.
Her moral compass is, to put it mildly, not great. She makes money by selling pornographic videos she finds online to older men through a phone app, passing them off as her own. She sees men as basically simple-minded and believes they're easy to manipulate—which, from her perspective, makes the whole scheme work.
