Makoto Sunohara
A genuinely nice guy who serves as president of the history club—and Kae's senpai there. He's the type who's pretty oblivious to romantic feelings, even when they're directed right at him. What's notable about Makoto is that he was one of the few people who actually liked Kae before her makeover, along with A-chan and Nishina. Most people wouldn't have given her a second glance back then, but he did.
Personality-wise, he's laid-back and gentle most of the time. He's the kind of person you'd expect to stay calm in almost any situation. That said, fans often note that he has a protective streak—if someone gives Kae a hard time, that easygoing demeanor disappears fast and he can turn surprisingly aggressive. It's one of his more endearing qualities, depending on your perspective.
