Arthur Douglas was a real estate agent driving his wife Yvette and daughter Heather across the Mojave Desert when Thanos's ship passed overhead. The mad Titan, paranoid about exposure, destroyed their car to eliminate potential witnesses. He landed to confirm they were dead—and thought he'd succeeded. What he didn't know was that his own father Mentor had been watching. Mentor discovered Heather was still alive, smuggled her off to Titan, and raised her there. Years later, she'd return to Earth as Moondragon.
