Hiroko Murohashi
A third-year at Takatoobara Middle School in Nagano Prefecture, Hiroko used to compete alongside Nodoka Haramura and Yuuki Kataoka in the previous year's prefectural middle school mahjong tournament. She's usually paired up with her younger teammate Maho Yumeno—so much so that Yuuki's given them the nickname the "Muro-Maho Combination."
The anime and manga handle her story a bit differently. In the anime series, Hiroko and Maho show up to watch Nodoka's final match at Nagano's prefectural high school tournament. The manga takes a different route: instead, Hisa Takei invites both of them to Kiyosumi High School's national tournament training camp.
