Mavis Vermillion
The founder and first master of Fairy Tail, Mavis is basically the guild's mother figure. She and three others—Precht, Warrod Sequen, and Yury Dreyar—established the guild back in X686, with Mavis taking the top position from day one. Once they finished constructing the guild hall, all four posed for a photo in front of it to mark the occasion. It became an iconic moment.
Eventually, Mavis stepped back and handed leadership over to Precht, who became the second master. The guild members honored her legacy by building a grave on Tenrou Island, the guild's sacred grounds.
What Mavis is best known for, though, is her tactical genius. Fans often call her the Fairy Tactician because she consistently outmaneuvered opponents through brilliant strategy, racking up major victories for her team during their early days. Her ability to read a battle and make split-second decisions became legendary.
