Honoka is a first-grader who spent her summer staying at her grandmother's place. She became Renge's first real friend—someone actually her own age, which was huge for Renge. Photography is her main hobby; she's always got her camera on her.
When it came time to leave, Honoka didn't stick around to say goodbye in person. Instead, she left Renge a letter along with a photo and made a promise to meet up again the following summer. It's the kind of thing that probably meant a lot to Renge.
