Gerokichi is Chuutarou's pet tanuki—though "pet" might undersell things, given that this creature is literally hundreds of years old and has been part of the Kumo family for generations. He once fought alongside Kagamitsu Kumo in battle, back when things were different. His real form is massive, big enough to ride on, though he doesn't show it off to just anyone. Outside the Kumo family itself, he's only really warm to Botan, which tells you something about how selective he is with his loyalty.
