Gill Bastar is the protagonist of the one-shot story Wanted. He's best known for having an enormous bounty on his head—which he racked up entirely through self-defense killings, a fact that makes his situation pretty tragic when you think about it.
He eventually joined the Rocks Pirates, though he didn't stick around long before dying. After his death, Gecko Moria got his hands on the corpse and used it to create a General Zombie, essentially giving Gill a twisted second life as one of Moria's undead soldiers.
