Ashisogi Jizo is Mayuri's Zanpakutō, named after Jizo, a Buddhist deity associated with children and the underworld. In Japanese tradition, Jizo is typically depicted as a baby-like figure in monk's robes. The sword itself has a pretty distinctive look—it's got what amounts to a giant baby's head as its guard, a cloth-wrapped hilt, and weird spiky leaf-like protrusions just below the blade.
