A daimyo of Chuugoku and one of the most respected military minds of his era, Motonari earned the nickname "The Great" for good reason. What sets him apart from most feudal lords is his unusual restraint—he's never bothered trying to conquer neighboring provinces or chase the Tenka. He's got bigger picture thinking than that.
Cold and calculating, Motonari treats his subordinates like chess pieces, willing to sacrifice them without hesitation if it serves his strategy. He doesn't tolerate failure, partly because his ego is wrapped up in his intellect—losing would mean admitting his mind isn't as sharp as he knows it to be.
In combat, he's equally methodical. His signature move involves two semi-circular blades that lock together into a hula-hoop-like weapon, which he spins around himself to slash through enemy lines. But that's just the flashy part. His real strength lies in his mastery of trapping techniques, using rings of green light to lock down opponents and control the battlefield.
