Lloyd was born in S.1186 and lost both parents to an accident when he was just three years old. His older brother Guy Bannings, an accomplished investigator in the Crossbell Police Department's First Division, became his anchor and role model from that point forward. Lloyd grew up in Crossbell City alongside Guy and Guy's fiancée, who became family to him—especially after the orbalship accident that killed their parents.
When Guy died under mysterious circumstances in S.1201 while on duty, it devastated Lloyd deeply. The truth of what happened was never fully revealed. Unable to stay in Crossbell at the time, Lloyd moved in with his uncle in Calvard, but his determination to follow his brother's path never wavered. He enrolled in the Police Academy back in Crossbell and graduated with honors in S.1203. His training there included survival work in Knox Forest and combat instruction under Douglas, an academy instructor who specialized in tonfa fighting.
Today, Lloyd leads the Crossbell Police Department's Special Support Section.
