Kiruko Otonashi
Kiruko works as a police officer at Nagashima station, though she's usually stuck with the cases nobody else wants. That's partly because she's a former mercenary—which means her approach to "routine situations" tends to be, well, overkill. She'll suggest solutions that are way too extreme for minor problems, which doesn't always go over well with her superiors.
She's pretty striking to look at: bright green hair, orange eyes, and an eyepatch covering one of them. The physical side of the job clearly suits her. She's incredibly fast and strong, with durability that seems almost superhuman—definitely a leftover perk from her combat days.
Despite strict orders against it, Kiruko carries twin tonfa blades and uses them with real lethality when situations call for it. The irony is that she genuinely loves police work and wants to do it right. The problem is her mercenary instincts kick in too easily, and what she sees as appropriate force often ends up escalating things that could've been handled way differently. It's a pattern that defines a lot of her cases.
