Chiri is a first-year student (later second-year) at 15-16 years old with a decidedly tomboyish vibe. She's got short, spiky dirty blonde hair and brown eyes that reinforce her boyish look. She was the tallest member of the Judo Club until Toki showed up, though she's still noticeably shorter than Takatoshi.
As Vice-Captain of the Judo Club, she brings a rough-around-the-edges energy to the group. Her speech is noticeably less refined than most of the other girls—she talks more casually with friends and classmates, though she switches to a much more polite tone when speaking to seniors or teachers. She's pretty down-to-earth overall, the complete opposite of the earnestly "pure" Mutsumi. Academically, she's not her school's star student; she ended up needing a makeup exam alongside Mutsumi and Takatoshi.
Chiri often plays the straight man when things get absurd around her, especially when Mutsumi's innocent obliviousness causes chaos. This role was particularly on display in the Seitokai Yakuindomo OVAs, where she teamed up with Suzu to prevent Nene Todoroki from, well, using a bucket inappropriately. Beyond the occasional deadpan quip, though, she's basically a regular girl trying to get by.
