Natsu is a talking bear who's been around Machi since childhood. He basically functions as her caretaker—constantly trying to manage her chaos and keep her from doing something stupid. He's pretty protective of her, which is why he's against her leaving town; he genuinely worries about what might happen to her if she's out on her own. Dealing with Machi's antics is basically his full-time job at this point.
