Yuzu is a self-proclaimed gyaru and only child who transfers to an all-girls school after her mom remarries. She's outspoken, daring, and doesn't take herself too seriously—constantly pushing the dress code with her uniform modifications until she inevitably clashes with the Student Council President over it. Plot twist: that same president, Aihara Mei, ends up becoming her stepsister when the remarriage happens.
Yuzu's initial annoyance with Mei gradually shifts into something deeper. She finds herself genuinely worried about her, then protective, and eventually develops intense feelings for her. Her rebellious streak at school actually stems from good intentions; a lot of what she does is motivated by wanting to look out for Mei. Her closest friend at school is Harumin, who becomes her main social anchor.
