Miki is a second-year at Megurigaoka High School. She initially hangs around with her best friend Kei, and the two hole up in a mall when the outbreak hits. But Kei gets restless waiting around and eventually bails, leaving Miki on her own.
Things change when Miki overhears the School Life Club girls passing through on a supply run. That's enough to pull her out of hiding.
She doesn't get off on the right foot with the group, especially regarding how Kurumi and Yuuri just. go along with Yuki's delusions. It bothers her. Over time though, she figures out why they do it and actually warms up to Yuki. The difference is pretty stark—back in the mall she was basically dormant, but once she's part of the School Life Club, Miki becomes someone who actually does things. She volunteers for supply runs solo and fights infected just like Kurumi does.
