Ojoshi—commonly known as Ojoshi-sama—was the first woman ever sacrificed to the Sea God, eventually becoming his wife. According to Uroko, most of the wooden statues depicting her are pretty far off the mark. The real Ojoshi-sama apparently had freckles and was on the frailer side, details that don't typically make it into the carved versions of her.
