Lambert's story is basically defined by one tragedy: the Black Dragon's rise in Alteia. He lost everything young—his homeland, his family—and it forged his entire purpose: taking down that dragon someday. The thing is, he's realistic about it. He knows he's not ready yet, knows he needs to get stronger first.
So he figures the obvious move is to go hunt some monsters, get some experience. Seems straightforward enough. Except he has no idea what he's actually walking into.
