Amai (アマイ) is a medical-nin working for Kumogakure. He's best known for his role in a tense medical situation involving the Fourth Raikage's team.
During a mission, one of the Raikage's comrades named Karai got badly hurt and needed immediate care. Though Amai tried his best, he couldn't treat the injury effectively. While they were in town, Amai spotted Tsunade and reported the situation to the Raikage—despite Karai's objections. The Raikage decided to approach Tsunade anyway, and Amai actually pleaded with her to help, even though the bad blood between the Hidden Cloud and Hidden Leaf villages made her reluctant at first. She agreed to step in, and Amai assisted Shizune during the procedure to remove an Exploding Insect that had lodged in Karai's chest.
