Shinya is a Major General in the Japanese Imperial Demon Army—and despite his calm, almost gentle demeanor, he's proven himself one of their most capable soldiers. He's been close friends with Guren since their school days, and while he clearly cares about him, he can't resist messing with him constantly, whether that's forcing him into uncomfortable spots or just getting under his skin.
His real strength lies in long-range combat. He fights with his Demon Gun, Byakkomaru, a weapon from the Black Demon Series that can lock onto targets and fire on command—just say "Bang" and it shoots. The bullets carry the spiritual image of a white tiger. Shinya's been gifted with spellcraft since childhood and has developed serious technical skill over the years. That said, he's notably uncomfortable around the Hīragi family, which speaks to some deeper tension in his past.
