Hiroshi
He's the main male student in the series and one of Nube's biggest supporters. Hiroshi transferred to Doumori Elementary at the start of the manga, initially dismissing his teacher's claims about exorcisms as nonsense. But after getting rescued from supernatural trouble again and again, he eventually came around to believing in the weird stuff actually happening around them.
Like a lot of shounen manga protagonists, Hiroshi's got that fearless, action-first personality—he'll charge headfirst at pretty much any problem, whether it's a human bully, a youkai, or something that probably didn't need fighting in the first place. Soccer's his thing; he loves playing for the school team.
The problem is that Hiroshi's not exactly bright. He consistently scores some of the lowest grades in Nube's class and holds the dubious honor of once getting a hundred zeros in a row on tests. His lack of intelligence gets him into ridiculous misunderstandings about basic concepts and, unsurprisingly, tends to land him in supernatural trouble he could've avoided. There's even a moment where a ghost in a bathroom scared him so badly he wet himself.
His name itself is a nod to the protagonist from Dokonjyou Gaeru, a classic '70s Weekly Shounen Jump series that Shou and Okano drew inspiration from when creating "Nube."
