Maki runs Saionji Corporation (also known as SAION Trading), a company focused on importing and selling fine wine. She's built serious connections throughout the wine industry and uses her position and wealth to sponsor Issei—who also happens to be her on-and-off romantic interest. Despite being fully aware that Issei has a reputation for juggling multiple women, Maki openly wants him all to herself.
She's not exactly the type to play by the rules. Maki will happily cross ethical lines to get what she wants, and she's known for holding grudges. Her ambition and jealousy often drive her decisions more than anything else.
