Eula's best known as the captain of the Reconnaissance Company for the Knights of Favonius—and one of Mondstadt's most dedicated hunters of enemies in the wild. But her real story is more complicated than that. She's a descendant of the Lawrence Clan, one of the old aristocratic families with a deeply shameful history. Rather than live under that shadow, she cut ties with her clan entirely and forged her own path. It's the kind of move that earned her respect, even if it meant constantly fighting against the prejudice that comes with her bloodline.
When Eula talks about her "vengeance," she's not being literal—fans have noted it's more her own brand of humor, a way of dealing with the weight of her past while doing the real work of protecting Mondstadt.
