Down in the underworld, Lu Shuyu holds a spot in the Hall of Heroes under the guardian spirit Lu Junyi, the "Jade Kirin" from Liangshan. Despite his laid-back, almost frivolous demeanor—complete with a perpetual smirk and easygoing charm—he's actually a formidable fighter with serious combat prowess. He once pursued Cao Yanbing and clashed violently with Bei Luo Shimen, initially pushing the upper hand before ultimately taking the loss. When the Hall of Heroes breached into the Spirit Realm, Lu Shuyu had already bailed, vanishing without a trace.
He's a heavy smoker who practically lives with a cigarette in hand, and that playful vibe he gives off is pretty much his default mode. What's interesting about his fighting style is that he doesn't bother with conventional weapons. Instead, he uses custom-made cigarettes to boost his speed and harden his muscles mid-combat. Once he inhales the black smoke they produce, he shifts into a berserk state and literally transforms into smoke to pummel his opponents—a fighting method that's pretty unconventional even by underworld standards.
