Then his home life happened—an overbearing mother who controlled everything and a dad who basically checked out emotionally. That combo tanked his confidence pretty hard. By the time he was old enough to make his own choices, he'd convinced himself he couldn't connect with people.
So he did what a lot of people dream about but never actually do: he left. Not just moved to another city, but got as far away as he could manage. He headed to Euthania, essentially betting that a total fresh start in a completely different place might actually let him become whoever he could've been if things had been different at home.
