Madam Shijimi is the wife of the daimyo of the Land of Fire. She's best known among fans as the woman whose lost cat, Tora, becomes the first major mission for both Team Kakashi and Team Ebisu right after they become genin.
She comes across as vain and spendthrift, though she does have a philanthropic side. Her attachment to Tora is pretty intense—she genuinely loves that cat. Tora, however, does not return the sentiment, which fans often find amusing.
