Luc bears the True Wind Rune and trained under Leknaat, though he's originally from Harmonia. A decade before the Dunan Unification War, something went down at the One Temple involving him—the details are murky, but it shaped everything that came after. When Leknaat called, he answered, fighting in both the Gate Rune Wars and the Dunan conflict, though he wasn't thrilled about it. The one time he showed real fire was against Sasarai, a Harmonian High Priest; his sudden enthusiasm rattled the Harmonian forces enough to make them retreat.
After the Dunan War wrapped up, Luc started spiraling. The future he glimpsed through the True Rune terrified him—he saw complete balance spreading across the world, what he called Dharma, but it would leave everything lifeless. Worse, he was stuck being a vessel for True Runes, bound to a destiny he never asked for. He decided he had to break free, even if it meant destroying his own rune.
He brought in Albert Silverberg, a brilliant strategist who knew what it would take—they'd need to control multiple True Runes, specifically the other elemental ones. Albert even recruited Yuber the Black Knight to help. Luc also reconnected with Sarah, a powerful mage he'd saved from the Circle Palace in Crystal Valley years earlier. She became central to his plan.
Using connections through a guy named Hikusaak, Luc got himself installed as a bishop in Harmonia, keeping his identity hidden behind a mask. His strategy was calculated: spread rumors about the Fire Bringer stirring in the Grasslands to draw attention, then have Sarah pose as Chris Lightfellow of the Zexen Knights and attack the Lizard Clan. When Chief Zepon died in that attack, it spiraled exactly as planned—the furious Lizard Clan ambushed the Zexen Knights, and full-scale war erupted. The chaos gave him the opening he needed. He tracked down the bearers of the Fire, Water, Earth, and Lightning Runes and stole their runes using a technique from his Harmonian training.
But the Flame Champion and the Fire Bringer movement were faster. They cornered him at the Ceremonial Site and shut the whole thing down.
Luc finally understood it was hopeless. He reconciled with Leknaat, his mentor—the one person he'd betrayed—but by then there was no saving him. He and Sarah died together, and his soul moved on completely, at last finding rest.
