Hidaka Tsunagu
Tsunagu transferred to a human school as one of the few beastfolk students there. He's naturally reserved and keeps his emotions pretty locked down—partly just his personality, but also because he's aware of the stereotypes people have about beastfolk being dangerous. It's a defense mechanism, essentially.
The first people to actually treat him normally were his classmates Mari Asaka and Yukihiro Aida. Seeing how genuinely willing they were to help him out made a real difference; once he realized they weren't going to judge him or buy into those stereotypes, he started letting his guard down around them.
Tsunagu's half-human, half-beastfolk. His mother is Hidaka Hana, a human, and his father is Sana, a wolf beastman.
