The thing is, everyone at camp knows he's genuinely one of the strongest players there—he just chooses to stay in a lower court. It's kind of like with Oni Juujiro in that way; both guys are way stronger than wherever they've planted themselves. Eventually, Irie makes it as the No. 20 All-Japan Junior Representative.
