Maru's a stray dog that Sawako and Kazehaya spotted while heading to school. Kazehaya decided to take him in, and he's stuck around ever since. The name Pedro Martinez came from Pin, though everyone calls him Maru—Sawako's doing.
The dog's pretty typical as far as dogs go. He loves sleeping, eating, playing around, and going for walks. Recently picked up shaking hands and has gotten pretty good at jumping. His two favorite things to hear are apparently "Here's your food!" and "Let's go take a walk!"—which, honestly, tracks.
According to Kazehaya's answers in the KimiTodo Friend Notebook, Maru's blood type is B, though Kazehaya was just guessing on that one.
