Salia serves as the Department Chief and platoon sergeant of Angelise's unit. After Zola's death, she gets promoted to Captain, though she struggles with unexpected battlefield situations. She has a reputation for reading steamy romance novels—something Vivian loves to tease her about. She's frustrated by Ange's habit of disobeying orders and going after DRAGONs solo, but Mei manages to talk her down by pointing out that Ange probably does it to protect the rest of the unit. Salia later confirms this suspicion by checking the captain's log: since Ange joined (and after losing Coco, Miranda, and Zola), there haven't been any casualties on previous missions.
What Salia really does in her downtime is something else entirely. She rents a changing room from Jasmine to cosplay as a magical girl inspired by a book she reads—basically her way of blowing off steam and stress. Ange stumbles onto her secret when she accidentally walks in on Salia mid-costume, and the embarrassment nearly gets Ange killed when Salia tries (and fails) to shut her up. So far Ange's the only one who knows.
Salia's had a major hero crush on Jill since childhood, back when Jill went by the name Alektra. She witnessed Alektra get badly wounded and defeated during a rebellion, and swore to get revenge someday. When Jill promises to hand over the Villkiss to Salia, that changes everything—until Ange shows up. Devastated, Salia pilots the Villkiss herself out of spite and desperation. Once it becomes clear that Ange's the one actually meant for the machine, Salia gets detained for insubordination.
