Matori is Giovanni's secretary and right hand in Team Rocket operations. She debuted in "Memories are Made of Bliss!" when she sent out a Delibird to recruit Jessie, James, and Meowth for the mysterious "Project Den" on Giovanni's orders.
Throughout the Best Wishes series, she becomes a regular presence, often appearing alongside Giovanni to relay his commands to the Trio. In the Castelia City arc (BW025), she temporarily releases them to operate independently across Unova.
Interestingly, her name gets spoken aloud in the original Japanese, Chinese, and Indonesian versions of "Battling For The Love of Bug-Types!"—but the English dub edited out the line entirely, leaving her unnamed in that version.
