Katsu Itsuko
Itsuko is the daughter of Katsu Kaishu. She becomes romantically involved with Daigoro Okuma, though her father's disapproval complicates things—he actually disowns Daigoro as his student, which understandably upsets her. Frustrated by her father's decision, she visits Daigoro at the Kamiya dojo to see him anyway.
Things take a darker turn when thugs kidnap her on orders from Okubo Tetsuma. She's rescued by Kenshin and his group, the Kenshin Gumi, before any real harm comes to her.
