The main character of the series and a student at Butei High. He's stuck at Level E—the lowest combat rank—because he missed the official Butei evaluation exam, which keeps him pretty limited in what he can actually do. The weird part is that under certain circumstances, his abilities spike all the way up to Level S, the highest tier. He's in the Inquesta department and carries a modified Beretta M92F (he calls it his "Beretta Kinji Model" since he had it illegally tweaked to fire in three-round bursts) along with a butterfly knife.
After his brother died, his whole outlook shifted. He decided he's done with the whole Butei thing and wants out—planning to transfer to a normal high school and just live like a regular person. Whether that actually happens is another story.
