Choshou is an ageless woman who looks deceptively young. She guards the Hyakukeitō—five legendary jeweled Chinese jian that were supposedly forged by Cao Cao in ancient times. All five blades are embedded in a massive boulder on her property and magically sealed, making them impossible to remove through normal means.
Over the years, she's trained several fighters seeking the swords: Totaku was her first student, followed by Kanu, Ryomou, and finally Hakufu. Totaku's training ended badly when he went into a blind rage after Choshou criticized his weakness. When Hakufu came to train with her, things took an unexpected turn—Hakufu jumped off a cliff trying to reach the city faster and lost consciousness. Before anything else happened, Choshou gave Hakufu a gift through a kiss. After that, her fate became unclear. Some fans suspect she may have died after giving Hakufu whatever power or blessing the kiss contained, though what exactly she transferred remains a mystery.
Choshou appeared in episode 8 of Great Guardians, where she's shown training Ryomou.
