Amaterasu Oomikami
Once the Goddess of the Sun—legend says chrysanthemums bloomed where she stood, peonies where she sat, and a hundred flowers sprang up in her wake. These days, that's not quite how things work.
A shattered Great Seal trapped her in her current form, stripped of most of her old power. But honestly, she doesn't spend much time dwelling on it. Her sense of duty is as strong as ever, maybe stronger now that she's had to adapt. She takes her responsibilities seriously, no matter what shape she's in.
The thing about Amaterasu is that she's easily charmed by human things—food, festivals, little moments of joy. People find her surprisingly relatable for a goddess. But don't mistake that for a lack of focus. When duty calls, she shows up. That proper, no-nonsense side of her kicks in, and you remember what she actually is.
She's aware of the gap between what she was and what she is now, but she seems okay with it. Maybe even better for it.
