The Medaka Mermaid Quintuplets
The Medaka Mermaid Quintuplets are a group of five tiny young mermaids and friends of Keimi. They go by Ichika, Nika, Sanka, Yonka, and Yonka Two.
The sisters are best known for their distinctive speech pattern—a kind of comedic routine where each one riffs on what the others say. Ichika kicks things off with a straightforward statement. Nika repeats it with enthusiasm. Sanka contradicts it entirely. Yonka hedges with uncertainty. And Yonka Two wraps up by questioning whether any of it matters. So if Ichika says "Luffy is a pirate," the chain goes: "Luffy is a pirate! / Luffy isn't a pirate. / Luffy might be a pirate. / So what if Luffy's a pirate?"
Beyond their gimmick, they're cheerful and friendly, rarely straying far from one another.
