Lizzie (she insists on the nickname) is Ciel's cousin and fiancée, daughter of the Marquis and Marchioness Midford. They've known each other since childhood and were genuinely close, though Ciel has kept her in the dark about his parents' deaths and his own disappearance. She doesn't push him on it. What's interesting is that their engagement seems to be pretty under-the-radar—none of Ciel's enemies have targeted her, which suggests the secret's been kept well. Still, it's clear he cares about her; he literally threw himself in front of a bear to protect her.
Lizzie is upbeat, strong-willed, and obsessed with making everything cute. Like, everything. She'll decorate rooms with hearts and sparkly bunnies, or dress up old men "just like Marie Antoinette!" It's a running source of annoyance for Ciel. She's forceful and won't accept no for an answer, though when she realizes she's actually upset someone, she genuinely feels terrible about it—she'll cry over the mistake. She had enough nerve to run away from home at least once just to see Ciel, and she's apparently one of the few people completely unafraid of her intimidating mother, the Marchioness.
Despite her somewhat delusional fairytale fantasies about the two of them, Lizzie does legitimately care for Ciel. She's just still figuring out how to show it in ways that don't involve glitter and ribbon.
