Hayato
First appearance: Battle 6
Type: Dou/Sei
Fighting Style: Katsujin Ken
Hayato is Miu's grandfather and the undefeated master of Ryōzanpaku Dojo, famous for allegedly beating 500 Shaolin masters to near death. He's known as the "Invincible Super Man"—and fans often note the name fits. His kicks are so fast they blur even in slow-motion replays at 1/1000 speed, and he can casually overwhelm both Kenichi and Miu simultaneously using just 0.0002% of his actual power. He once defeated a master-level opponent in the D of D tournament with a single finger.
Before settling down to run the dojo, Hayato traveled the world with Miu searching for peace. He's developed 108 special techniques and can copy any move thrown at him—everything from Kenichi's Saikyou Combos to Miu's Hyōi Kazekirihane. He invented Ryūsui Seikūken after mastering Seikūken itself, and his go-to technique in actual fights tends to be the Human Shuriken.
His most unsettling move is called "the Shockwave of Forgetfulness," which can selectively erase memories. He demonstrated precise control when meeting Apachai—the thug leader lost everything, while Kenichi only forgot recent events. Despite his near-godlike abilities, Miu's mentioned he once struggled against Silcardo Jenazard, and he apparently knows Kushinada from way back.
Hayato's training methods are brutal enough that tea bowls and chopsticks would split just from the atmosphere. He's oddly affectionate though, calling Kenichi "Ken-chan" and being the only master who actually apologizes for how harsh the training gets. He's said Kenichi reminds him of his younger self.
As the most powerful member of the dojo, he's surprisingly irresponsible—he blows the dojo's money on random stuff, gets reckless showing off, and snacks on candy constantly. He's also mentioned getting weaker with age. Beyond raw strength, Hayato can speak with two voices simultaneously, control each side of his body independently, and direct his voice so only one person can hear it. Between all this, most people don't think he's entirely human.
