Miiko lives next door to the protagonist and is a skilled martial artist—trained in both kendo and kenjutsu. She's usually dressed casually at home, though she'll throw a jinbei over her clothes with kanji that shift to match whatever she's feeling in the moment. Her dark hair is always pulled back in a ponytail, and her face rarely gives much away; she's got a pretty neutral expression most of the time. But get her in a fight and that changes fast—she's got a temper that comes alive when she's sparring.
She's stubborn about information once she's got it locked in her head; changing her mind afterward is basically impossible. Away from combat, she's into sweets and sake, and she collects antiques as a hobby. She owns a Fiat 500 that "I" ends up borrowing pretty regularly.
Work has never been her strong suit—she has a habit of clashing with guests and coworkers at new jobs, which means she bounces around. Still, she managed to land a gig teaching kendo at a local school for a while, which suits her skill set better than most of her other positions.
