Kouji Nishimura hails from Kanagawa and trains at the GI Tennis Club, the same place as the prefecture's top seed, Hiroshi Araya. Hiroshi vouches for him as a solid player with impressive upward momentum—he's got the physical build and mental toughness to back it up. Kouji plays as a baseliner and leans hard on his strength to hit powerful shots.
That said, his ceiling remains a mystery. He got completely overwhelmed by Eiichiro in their matchup, which didn't give much of a window into what he's really capable of.
