Regis K. Landegre is a young Noble who's all about elegance and propriety—he's the type to care deeply about manners and honor. He's got a prideful streak and makes no apologies for it. When he and Seira show up to investigate rumors of infected or mutant humans, you get the sense this is serious business to him.
Physically, Regis is on the shorter side, which actually becomes this funny moment when Ikhan meets him and gets genuinely excited to find someone his own height. Ikhan's always been self-conscious about it, but Regis doesn't seem to care one way or the other—he's confident enough not to let it bother him.
His relationship with M-21 starts rough. Regis has a real problem with modified humans; he sees them as people who traded away their humanity for power, which obviously doesn't sit right with him. That said, he does soften up once he witnesses M-21 willing to sacrifice himself for the kids. It's enough to make Regis reconsider his entire stance—though "soften up" might be generous. Their dynamic stays awkward and tense even after that.
Despite not wanting any part of it, Regis ends up getting pulled into Tao's group, Rai's Knights, where he's registered as RK No. 3. It's clearly not something he signed up for willingly.
