Giyal served as a Zeon mobile suit pilot at a remote outpost that happened to be in White Base's path. He's best known for his role in an operation commanded by Cuaran aimed at destroying the Gundam. The plan was straightforward enough—plant bombs on the mobile suit—but it required coordination. Giyal's job was to draw the Gundam out using his Zaku, and he did this by intercepting and attacking Lt. Matilda's Medea transport as it launched from the base.
