Ran is a kunoichi from Kumogakure who showed up during the Fourth Shinobi World War as part of the Third Division.
She's got short brown hair and blue eyes, and typically dressed in a midriff blouse with a Kumogakure flak jacket to match, along with red wrist warmers, stockings, and sandals. She wore the Allied Shinobi Forces forehead protector during the war.
Not much is known about her fighting style, but she carried a tantou on her shoulder, suggesting she had some skill with kenjutsu.
During the war, things got rough for Ran's squad when they ran into Jinpachi Munashi and Kushimaru Kuriarare. Jinpachi's explosion technique knocked her unconscious, but she was saved when Might Guy and Kakashi Hatake showed up. Kakashi told her to get out of there, but she didn't stay gone for long—she came back with the rest of the Third Division and the Sealing Team, and together they managed to seal both Jinpachi and Kushimaru away.
