She's the mysterious girl who shows up at Aragane Station and boards the Hayajiro Koutetsujou. Not much is known about her background at first, which is pretty much the whole point—she literally doesn't have a real name. "Mumei" just means "nameless" in Japanese, and her brother gave it to her, which tells you something about her situation right there.
