Grandpa Hino is Rei's grandfather and the resident priest at the Hikawa Shrine, where Rei lives. He's basically just as stubborn as she is—they butt heads constantly. Beyond that, he's known for being a skilled martial artist and has a pretty well-documented habit of checking out attractive women, which honestly makes for some of the series' more awkward comedic moments. He's quite short at three feet tall and completely bald.
