Tracks is kind of an oddball among the Autobots because he actually prefers his Earth car form to his original Cybertronian body. He's pretty hung up on his appearance, which has rubbed some of the other bots the wrong way—they think he should worry less about looking good and more about, you know, fighting Decepticons.
He debuted in season two's "Dinobot Island Part 2" and stuck around for a decent stretch. The connected episodes "Make Tracks" and "Auto-Bop" really let him shine. In the first one, he gets sent to New York to deal with a wave of car thefts. He falls hard for the city, but after chasing down some car-jackers, he crashes and gets stolen by a street kid named Raul. The two end up bonding and figure out what's really going on—the stolen cars are being used to build a drone army for the Decepticons.
Like most of the season two guys, Tracks gradually faded out by season three. He showed up occasionally in Transformers: Headmasters during some Earth-based operations, but nothing major.
