Hammer is a modified human and member of DA-5, the Union's elite special forces unit. He's best known for his weapons expertise—explosives in particular—though he's capable enough in hand-to-hand combat when the situation calls for it. His arsenal includes heavy weaponry, poison gas, and sleeping gas, giving him considerable tactical flexibility in the field.
Temperamentally, Hammer shares Shark's violent streak, but he keeps it under control through logic and pragmatism. He's arrogant about his strength and unafraid to play dirty—taking hostages or targeting women without hesitation. That said, he's realistic enough to accept defeat against stronger opponents if it means survival. During a mission in South Korea, this caution became frustrating; the peaceful, civilian-heavy city meant he couldn't unleash his explosives the way he preferred.
